In this lecture we explore Shakespeare as a theologian of love, the drama of love, taken from Augustine’s theology of love. We also examine how love is sanctifying, redeeming, and salvific in Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night, and Antony & Cleopatra.

Paul Krause is the editor-in-chief of VoegelinView. He is writer, classicist, and historian.
